How much do I need?

How do the colours look?
Use on...
You might be painting with a 2in1, but you still need to prepare the wood.
Our paint performs best when the temperature is above 10°C. Put down dust sheets to cover everything you don’t want to get paint on and open some windows and doors (but not the ones you’re painting!) for ventilation.
Don’t forget your face mask when sanding too, it can be quite a dusty job.
How to prep
- Lightly sand the wood with 120 grit sandpaper and sand in the direction of the woodgrain. This will give you an even finish that will help the paint and primer to stick.
- Let the dust settle and wipe it up with a cloth and white spirit.
- If you notice any knots, stop them from darkening with a knotting solution. Cracks and holes should be filled in too.
If you want to use this on wood that’s already been painted, you’ll need to strip it back to the bare wood. An electric sander will get the job done for you in no time at all.
- Thoroughly stir your paint and primer to get rid of any lumps and to give it a smooth consistency.
- Use a synthetic brush and paint in the direction of the woodgrain. Leave the first coat to dry for four hours.
- Apply your second coat, in the same way you did the first.
- Your second coat will be touch dry in just 30 minutes and completely dry in four.
That’s it! Your wood will now stay brilliant white for 10 years.
Cleaning
Once the paint and primer has dried, you can clean your wood as normal. Pay attention to grubby finger prints that might stand out harshly against the brilliant white wood!
Repair
If you notice spots of damage, just sand down the area and reapply the paint and primer just like you did when you first painted it. Your wood will soon look good as new.
